Trapstar × Avirex collab✨️ Great move for both brands
Since Avirex relaunched in the UK in May 2022, their iconic leather jackets have been spotted on a number of our rappers and personalities🤩
However, their first attempt at securing a significant UK streetwear collab (after relaunching) flopped when Clint419 swerved them last September. Corteiz dropped their own leather jackets instead shortly after🪂
A year later, Avirex have now teamed up with Trapstar. The collab fits well, especially after the successful Trapstar x Iceberg collaboration. Trapstar's customer base has a broader age range than Corteiz. The 80's babies (and some 90s) will really appreciate the significance of collabs with brands like Iceberg and Avirex 📈
Meanwhile, Avirex also benefit from the exposure they get to Trapstar's younger audience. I've said it before; Avirex is legendary, but I feel they need to effectively captivate the minds of Gen Z to solidify their spot within the British streetwear scene long term. Ask Moschino... 🚶🏾♂️
